First report free. Then less than the mid-tier tools.
Existing menu-engineering software runs $49 to $200+ per location per month — entry tier around $49–60, mid-tier $50–150, enterprise above $200 with custom quotes. Optimal sits below the mid-tier, with no implementation project and no annual lock-in. Monthly billing, cancel any time.
No "contact sales" tier. A single-location restaurant should not need a procurement process to fix its menu.
What is and is not included
$0, once
Included: the full deliverable for one location — every dish costed and plotted, up to five ranked moves with annual dollar estimates, the menu-layout page, and the 30-day tracking plan.
Not included: additional locations, the 30-day tracking comparison itself, weekly prime-cost tracking, quarterly re-runs.
The subscription
Included: the quarterly menu-engineering report each quarter, weekly prime-cost tracking, and measured contribution-margin lift after each menu change — the 30-day comparison run against your baseline.
Not included: inventory management, invoice processing, accounting. Monthly billing; cancel any time and keep your reports.
Single report
Included: one full report, same deliverable as the free first one, for operators who re-engineer once a season and want nothing running in between.
Not included: tracking between reports. If you buy two singles in a year, the subscription is already cheaper — we will tell you so.
The free report is the entire acquisition strategy. The report itself proves the value; nothing else needs to. If it does not show you money you are leaving on the table, do not buy anything.
The five moves in the sample report total more than thirteen years of subscription fees.
